All About Eyelash Extensions

Hi friends! I hope ya'll had a great holiday weekend! I was down in Nashville with some girlfriends and I had the best time! I'll have a post up later this week about our shenanigans so be sure to stay tuned.

On another note I am so excited about today's post because if you follow me on social media then you know I recently started getting eyelash extensions! Genetically I got the short end of the stick when it comes to lash quality; aka mine are short, curly and tiny AF. My brother of course has the best lashes ever, they always get the good stuff don't they?

Anyways, I've been thinking about getting extensions for a while because I love how feminine they are plus they completely change your look pre makeup. I also suck at putting on my own fake lashes and wanted something that was more reasonable for everyday. I did a lot of research before booking because I knew how difficult I knew my lashes were going to be simply because of how curly they are and decided to have Amber do my lashes since she's been slaying my brows for the last year! Ya'll she did not disappoint. Check out my before and afters below, pardon my oily face friends.

Talk about a transformation right; I'm completely obsessed! If you follow me on social then you know I live and die for Amber so she and I have collaborated to bring you this AMAZING deal on lashes! By mentioning my name you'll receive $25 off your full set appointment and your first 60 minute refill will be discounted to $50 (regularly $75)! You can book your appointments HERE and the discount will be applied when you come see Amber for your appointment! Amber is graciously honoring this promotion for the rest of 2017 so book TODAY because here slots fill up really fast! You will have to put a deposit down on your full set but that deposit is deducted from your overall price at the end.

I want to end this post with a few tips since I've now officially had lashes for about a month. Ya'll know I'm here to be the guinea pig so trust me when I say I made quite a few uh ohs during this first month haha so hopefully these tips can prevent you from making those same mistakes! Feel free to message me on Instagram if you have any questions as well!

1. Don't Sleep Like A Crazy Person
I'm not saying completely alter you sleeping style, but don't think you're gonna be able to roll around on your face and keep them lashes on your eyeballs girlfriend! I say "sleep pretty" until you're sure you're not rubbing them off at night.

2. Oil Free Everything
One of the mistakes I made was not checking to make sure that all my facial products were oil free. Spoiler alert; they weren't! I personally just replaced my makeup remover wipes because I never washed my facial cleanser over my eyes so I felt comfortable continuing to use it. I did link my favorite products that are lash extension friendly below for ya'll to shop in case you need suggestions.

3. Wash and Brush Them
At first I was scared to do this because I thought touching them would make them fall out haha. I was also afraid to wash them with the baby soap which is silly I know, but I was psyching myself out because normally soap and eyes is bad news. But as long as your gentle you'll be fine. Plus it helps keep everything clean and healthy.

4. Take Your Allergy Medicine
I know this one sounds really weird, but when my allergies attack my eyes get super itchy and watery, which is a no no when you have lashes glued on. So if you're like me, make sure you're taking your allergy medicine okay. Okay.
